Pioneer Launches Full HD Sound System

By Branko Miletic | Tuesday | 01/04/2008

The Pioneer HTP-LX70 is an ideal surround sound partner for Blu-ray with playback of the latest HD movie studio formats via its integrated receiver subwoofer and four speakers.

Equipped with HDMI, this surround sound package will not only turn into a Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD capable amplifier, but will also pass on the 1080p / 24 video on to a flat screen TV HDMI with 1080p scaling and a 400 W digital power amplifier.

The minimalist design and sound quality from the HTP-LX70 is achieved using Pioneer's Dodec speaker technology, offering a realistic 3-dimensional sound.
By incorporating the dodecahedron speaker concept (a dodecahedron is a geometric shape with 12 sides), the speakers deliver an ‘Omni-directional' sound - the effect being similar to musical instruments being played in a live performance.

The compact satellite speakers are beneficial in instances where there is limited space, or for those that don't want a ‘hardware invasion' in the living room.
Featuring a down-firing subwoofer offering dual-drive subs, users will feel every explosion as if they were sitting in a professional movie cinema.

Whilst being partnered to Blu-ray, the versatile HTP-LX70 also enables users to entertain guests with an iPod by transforming into an iPod docking station thanks to the iPod input, as well as the choice of an additional Pioneer iPod docking station.
