Portable Mitsubishi Full HD Projector Launched

By Mendelson Tiu | Wednesday | 10/02/2010

Mitsubishi Electric Australia announced a new Full HD DLP projector that weighs 3.8 kilograms for easy transport.

The Mitsubishi FD630U full HD portable projector promises Full HD resolution, 4000 ANSI lumens brightness, and comes with a 1.5x high-powered zoom lens. It also has a low fan noise of 29dBA, comes with a built-in 10W speaker, and an "Audio Mix" feature that gives the FD630U the ability to output audio from two separate devices, with independent volume control of each audio input.

Mitsubishi Electric's Senior Manager of Visual Information Systems, Stuart Baker said, "With its native 1080p resolution, the FD630U allows users to include larger amounts of information with eye-catching, high-impact visuals. Its portability adds even greater functionality to the projector, giving users the ability to transport the FD630U between rooms or buildings quickly and easily".

The FD630U has a built in RJ-45 port, giving maintenance or production teams the ability to remotely manage the projector from their laptop or PC via a LAN. The new Visual PA2 feature, which provides message display and voice announcement functions, allows pre-created emergency messages to be sent simultaneously to all projectors connected on the LAN. Another capability of the software is the ability to recognise messages entered via the keyboard and providing a verbal announcement, increasing the impact of the message.

The FD630U is available now for $8299.
