According to Kogan Technologies Founder, Ruslan Kogan, the 1080p 22 starts at $489, with its Pro22 model that comes with a built in DVD player and USB input and card reader available for $539.

"We realised there was a very limited range of Full HD 22 inch TVs on the market and our research indicated there was a niche that needed to be filled. With little competition, prices remain high, so we decided to provide a high quality, compact television at the best price available in Australia," says Kogan.

The television is wall mountable and is the perfect size for around the house, in the kids' rooms, kitchen or in the study.

The Kogan 1080p 22 can be pre-ordered on the Kogan website and will be shipped on 17 July 2009.

Specifications of the Kogan 1080p 22" Full HD LCD TV:

  • 22"/ 55cm widescreen panel
  • 1920 x 1080 Full HD Resolution Screen
  • Integrated High Definition Digital Tuner
  • Progressive Scan up to 1080P
  • HDMI input
  • Wall Mountable
  • Teletext (including closed captions)
